Be Where You’re At

“You gotta be where you’re at.” Improper grammar, sure, but profound nonetheless. I don’t know where I heard it first, but the phrase resonated with my soul and has stuck with me for my lifetime. I lose sight of it sometimes, but it comes back to me. Usually as I am dusting myself off from some unexpected loss or failure. “Being where I am at” has been a life long struggle. I have always wanted something far ahead and found it hard to sit in appreciation of where I am. I am working on it. I will probably always work on it, but that might be the point.

That’s pretty heavy stuff for a home bakery blog, huh? Yeah. Baking gets pretty philosophical sometimes.

It's philosophical, Dude
